Help! My Son Paints Nudes
Three life-size paintings of women dressed in their natural glory propped up on my living room wall. The morning sun shone on all their bits and pieces brightly.
My jaw dropped to the floor. My husband couldn't stop laughing.
What Drives Me to Paint
It moves me when a gorgeous image transcends into a meaningful metaphor. For me, good and beautiful paintings are when vision and intention marry through the binder of pigment.
Many photos and paintings have idyllic landscapes. But the context behind the image and expression of that context brought this couple to tears.

Michelangelo Incarnate
An elderly lady in the church commissioned and paid for the mural. And what was her request? The Jordan River, of course. How mundane and typical, I thought. Not high church, but I was grateful for the commission.
She was out of town but would return about the time I finished. Wonderful! I knew she would be ecstatic!
Boy, was I wrong!
